Don't believe this "windows only" FUD.

HP has written "hpijs" for Linux, and associated drivers for ghostscript.  


Since I need a new printer, I would be very interested to hear how this
works.  To check if the HP driver is installed, run:

 # hpijs -h

To check for the  
 $ gsc -h 

and look for "Available devices" entries:

  ... ijs hpijs DJ630 DJ6xx DJ6xxP DJ8xx DJ9xx DJ9xxVIP AP21xx ...
