Fixed IP, university has a fixed IP-range, name of the university in the
DNS - not really hard.
I am amazed they had the time, considering the amount of pings, attempts
to hack our IIS webserver (which is actually an apache server) etc. etc.
our webserver recieves.

Guess I had the one overenthusiastic admin that came directly from his
training, then.

Don't think so.

a) Ok, you caught me, I was "slightly" exaggerating there ;)
   (perhaps you knew this?! *g*)

b) meta-server is in the official "xpilot.org" domain.
The port xpilot uses is registered for xpilot.
The software that caused this is available - it can be shown that one
   of their users caused this.
=> Arguments like this would end even quicker than the one in my case
      did.

I was more concerned the Uni/my Prof wouldn't like me to run some servers,
or even play at all, less about that ridiculous complaint itself :-/ .
