Hi.

I've rewritten the option code in ANSI C, there's only a few details to
fix left. As I may have written here previously, the next extraversion of
ng (currently known as "X3") will most probably not support the INI file
format. The Unix xpilotrc format will be used on all platforms. Currently
configure.c has 683 lines compared to 1767 in 4.5.4. It doesn't anymore
know anything about specific options. The file default.c has 1306 lines
compared to 3088 in 4.5.4. I've added files option.c and option.h (total
of about 1600 lines currently).

Here is something I asked in a longer mail previously:

"
Another idea in this code is that the Unix xpilotrc file format could
be used also on windows. We've tested the SDL windows client and seen this
code works on windows. Now I'm asking, would it not be a good idea that
the configuration file would be movable between the different systems?
What is the benefit of having this INI file format on windows, except
maybe that windows people are used to it?
"

Does anyone know anything about this (why use ini file format) ?
