I understood from earlier posts you still had some work to do on the
client.

Maybe you know, there's been some work at xpilot.sf.net "ng" to improve
the 4.5.4 codebase. I'm just wondering, have you given any thought to
this work?

Have you considered using any of the improvements done in ng in xp++? E.g.
high FPS support or the improved walls code and the xp2 map format? If so,
will they be included in XPilot 5 or possibly merged later?

A practical issue would at least be to try to keep xp++ and ng compatible.
This could be achieved by using a common subset of the protocol (i.e.
protocol version 0x4501) when xp++ and ng programs communicate.
