Hey Clinton,

Thank you for your reply.  To answer your question there are two things I’ve noted. First is that the Samba share eventually showed up on my network.  And, I’ve been able to copy some files to it as a test. 
Second, even though I ran the same procedure for the NFS  share, it does not show ip and I’ve also noted that it does not have the “ACL” tag that the Samba share exhibits.  

I have turned off the NFS share and am following the TrueNAS online documentation to re-establish the NFS share.  I’ll let you know how I make out. 

Also, I tried to set up the email but neither of the two would send the test email.  Something else to explore later.
