[nSLUG] Installing Lazarus on Ubuntu 16.04

sudo apt-get install lazarus ?
I think you need the fpc-source package too. Both seem to be in the
Ubuntu universe repo.

At startup it complains about a stack of missing lpk files but it does
start. I have never used it, so that is the extent of my testing.
