Have you got a .rhosts correctly configured in root at nudel~/.rhosts? It 
should be something like:

root at nudel:~# cat .rhosts
grody: root
root at nudel:~#

You may also need to have /etc/hosts or DNS infrastructure configured to 
resolve the IP for grody correctly. /etc/hosts.equiv can also be used to 
aggregate the configuration for the whole system in one file, as 
appropriate.

You may also need to (re)configure /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny.
