I agree with you Vikram. I always give my preference ( and money ) to the nearest ( local ) business. This afternoon I purchased a mp3/mp4 4 GB player recertified ( no need to give free publicity in regard to the brand.) from newegg for just about less then the normal store price ( after taxes, shipping, etc. ) to be processed within 24-48 hours 9 which probably means in about a week to my door in this neck of the world  but at least I will get it. I hope! ))

I certainly do not wish to jeopardize Greenlyph's business, but how long does it take to receive items from newegg?  And is the customs fee reasonable? 

When I was in Halifax almost 8 years ago, I used Greenlyph several times (I lived right by their shop).  They were a brand new business then.  I remember them being very nice folks.  8 years later, I still can't get over the fact that I paid them CAD$300 for a Plextor DVD burner then which barely costs US$20 now.  :).

How is the fall in Halifax?  Pretty colors yet?

I decided to use the COD method and the order was still pending at the end of the month. I emailed them asking to cancel the order and replace it with a new one from oct 10 ( I added a SATA hard drive ).

I know that it is not quite related to Linux ( which I use full time, Mandriva 2010, OpenSUSE, PCLinuxOS, SuperOS ( Ubuntu really with all the codecs  ) but since many of you live in or near Halifax
 maybe you would have an idea about what is going on with Greenlyph. Thank you for your patience.
