Thanks, i'll need to figure out how to mount windows again so I can pass those files to windows so I can upload them here; but in the meantime,
I am installing i386 and using just whatever driver comes with the installation disk (I'm not loading any new drivers yet) I assume that It comes with a compatiable basic driver as it gives me the option of the "nv" driver (nvidia).
I'll have to get back to you on all the texts.

More details needed:
Are you installing Debian/i386 or Debian/amd64?
Are you trying to get X to work with the Xorg nVidia driver or nVidia's proprietary driver?
Attach a copy of /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Attach a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Include the output of "lspci -v" (just the details for your graphics card; omit the rest).
Include the output of "cat /proc/version".
