Here's the result:
ashley:/home/bob# mount -t iso9600mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /mnt/cd -o
ro,uid=me,gid=me
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc,
       missing codepage or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so
