It should work with that bit of grub code. If not, install the FreeBSD
bootload on the FreeBSD partition. Not the MBR of the disk. Then use
grub to chainload the FreeBSD boot loader.
The last time I use the FreeBSD boot loader it could not load Linux
directly. The FreeBSD loader had to load lilo or grub which loaded Linux.
