*Position Overview*
The Project Manager is the driving force behind the overall scheduling,
development and delivery of each product or service sold. The Project
Manager fills a coordination role, ensuring that all key players within
the development process are up to speed and have the needed information
to successfully complete their role in project development and final

The Project Manager develops project specifications in conjunction with
clients and the Apison team. She or he guides project team members in
the planning, organization, execution, and delivery of client and
in-house projects. This includes overseeing application development,
testing and review processes, and ensuring requirements are met. She or
he provides reporting for project assessment. The Project Manager is
also responsible for highlighting key project delivery issues to project
management staff.

Additional Project Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
      * communications, both written and verbal, from the company to the
        clients;conveying clients' unique requirements and concerns to the
        company, while making recommendations on how to meet or exceed
        client requirements;
      * coordinate all phases and aspects of the project life cycle, from
        definition to completion. The Project Manager will coordinate
        day-to-day activities required to get each job done to
        satisfaction, on time, and within budget. She or he must
        coordinate team meetings, and manage external dependencies and
      * delegating tasks to members of the project team, while assuming
        ultimate responsibility for project delivery;
      * quality assurance of each project. Each deliverable must be
        carefully checked for spelling and grammatical errors, and
        adherence to project specification requirements.

      * Damage control

      * Manages a project from conceptualization, implementation, to
      * Chairs regular team meetings
      * Highlights and escalates key risks and issues that might affect
        the overall schedule
      * Maintains projects' master schedules and is responsible for
        developing and maintaining projects' implementation strategies
      * Tracks milestone deliverables and ensures all key checkpoints are
      * Seeks ways to refine and improve processes
      * Provides post-delivery analysis of what improvements can be made
        for the future
      * Drives customer/client feedback programs
      * Ensures that all deliverables are delivered on time

*Education, Certification and Experience:*
      * Minimum of 3 years Project/Program management experience required
      * Bachelor Degree or equivalent required
      * Masters Degree in Business or Communications is preferred
      * Experience in Project/Program Management within the IT industry
      * Certification in project management (Project+, or PMP), or a
        commitment to becoming certified
      * Certification in Internet technologies (I-Net+), or a commitment
        to becoming certified
      * Experience in teaching or training is an asset
