[nSLUG] Spurious crashes

I just started having this problem myself.  #Slackware on FreeNode said to try passing noacpi to lilo when booting.  It didn't help me.

These freezings have always happened on any 2.6 kernel on my computer.

Although I think I'll be forced to move to Slack10 to see if that solves the problem.
