I believe that the chip set of the motherboard also has to support
hyperthreading. You may have a HT CPU and OS but not support on motherboard.
But could be wrong as have only seen a few m/b with notes saying support
My feeling is that if no reference on m/b docs that it does support
hyperthreading, then it likely does not.
I recently purchased some Intel brand motherboards and they explicitly said HT
support on the m/b and bios.
Am I surmising incorrecly here??
